I’ve decided to clump the remaining 3 Halloween festivities into one, mostly because like most people, I am so over Halloween right now, and then also because they all seem like they just blurred together. I feel like last week didn’t even count as being alive, but I can’t deny, it was a shit ton of fun.
The Sunday before Halloween wasn’t supposed to be Part 3, but that’s what I get for agreeing to meet up with my guy friends who were already wasted in the middle of the day and wearing their matching astronaut costumes. I’m always down for Sunday Funday so joined in at the Rusty Mullet on Hollywood Blvd., then immediately got moved to Pearl’s where we drank until we started getting yelled at for various things. Like Alex standing up on the railing of the second story balcony, and Sam trying to turn on the propane tank of the heat lamp because I was cold.
Always gets aggressive with them…I’m flying! Part 3 (Create)
We were all supposed to meet at the boys’ house in the Hills, but a few of us stopped to eat, hoping that we’d sneakily be able to stay in instead of getting peer pressured into going to one of the big SBE guy’s birthday’s at Create…but by the time we got to the house, everyone was already in full costume and harassing to find a costume. It was one of my first times wearing a crown, flat boots, and men’s sweaters to a party.
Halloween Part 4 was pretty much a disaster. First I was supposed to go to the party at Soho House, but turned down my invite thinking I wanted to have a chill Halloween and just walk around Santa Monica Blvd., but then I realized, why the fuck would I do that, it’s Halloween. By 4pm the day of, it was pretty much impossible to find someone who still had a plus one, so I decided to get real aggressive and make plans with my friends that I knew would be going to Hollywood parties.
So Audrey. Halloween part 4 (Boa)
After driving twenty minutes to get to my friends house 0.4 miles away, we decided to have drinks at Boa to ease the anxiety that we all were having from trying to figure out which party to go to. James Franco was having one, but of course he lives in a location where cell phone reception doesn’t exist. Paris Hilton was having a party, but isn’t she always? Then there was Adam Levine‘s party, which is usually held at the Hollywood Forever Cemetery, but for some reason, this year, was in the Valley. I’m still not even 100% sure what even consists of the Valley, I just know that it’s far. Especially on Halloween.
But with the only other options being nightclubs, and party at Sofitel that everyone and their mother was at, we almost bit the bullet and went for it. Almost. But then we got notification that everyone was leaving the party to go to the new lounge/club Warwick in Hollywood. Aside from the $40 parking, it was overall a pretty good night. I was having a grand ole time accepting compliments on my Breakfast at Tiffany’s costume and giving out my pretty new publicist business cards when suddenly one measly text message made me want to vomit. A screen shot from my roommate of her convo with my ex, asking her if he could crash at our place because he got sooooo drunk at her bar earlier. Seriously? …SERIOUSLY?!
This guy wore the cat costume all 4 nights. Part 4 (Warwick).
Get it? Broseidon!
Best Miley Cyrus costume! Part 5 (Santa Monica)
The fifth and final part of my Halloween was the day after Halloween…which I objected as a day you were even still allowed to celebrate it since it was November 1st, but apparently the people of Santa Monica don’t care. Although my friend is well aware of my hatred for the drive to Santa Monica (well drive to anywhere outside of the Hollywood bubble), he somehow guilt tripped me into going. Good thing he neglected to tell me that the group of people we were going with were all dressing as tennis players…my half assed princess costume really fit in well with them. I at least got to take some obnoxiously fun pictures before the retched, painful drive home.
So glad Halloween is over.
It seemed really amusing at the time. Halloween part 5 (Santa Monica)
Had to wear the head dress. Halloween part 5 (Santa Monica)
