Pyramids of Giza
Here are some of my favorite photos from my solo trip to Egypt! I started in Cairo and Giza where I saw the Sphinx and the Great Pyramids, then went down to Aswan. In Aswan I sailed on a Felucca (Egyptian sailboat) on the Nile River, and had dinner in a traditional Nubian village. From Aswan I continued south to the famous Abu Simbel temple, then back up to Luxor. In Luxor I absolutely loved the hot air balloon ride over the Valley of the Kings, and seeing the king’s tombs, including King Tut.
Last but not least, I relaxed in Hurghada, and even got to go scuba diving in the Red Sea where I saw a baby whale shark! Before I left Cairo, I also got to do a day trip to the Valley of the Whales, where I saw fossilized whale bones, a waterfall, and even got to go sand dune boarding!
