I Love the London and I Love LA.

Pool Office Day

Just wanted to throw out a quick mini blog while I blog.

by Alyssa Ramos

Thanks to global warming or whatever else I’m supposed to blame this beautiful 80 degree weather in LA in January on, today was decided to be Work By The Pool Day (by me). Usually these days take place every day during the summer time, but I guess since the weather is drunk and thinks it’s summer right now, they will start taking place early.

Anyway one of the many things I love about about LA and West Hollywood in general, is that not only have I been lucky enough to acquire jobs that allow me to work from anywhere (i.e. the pool), but the fabulous hotel pools here are more than happy to allow you up to their rooftop pools. So anyway as I was walking lazy ass Oscar this morning, who made me carry him on the way back because he’s a spoiled prince, I texted Adam who lives behind The London on Sunset Blvd. to see if he would meet me there. It was pretty much a rhetorical question.

Adam being fabulous and prepping to tan

It was already turning out to be a perfect day. Not a cloud in the bright blue sky, green palm trees waving around in the air like they were high, and a prime parking spot right in front of the hotel on Larrabee St. After being greeted by the pleasantly amiable front desk girl, she gave me a key up to the pool where I settled into the plush pool chairs in front of the iceberg blue, glistening pool. The relaxing lounge music, cucumber infused drinking water, and astroturf lawn makes you feel like you’re in some sort of Elysium paradise, and the 360 degree rooftop views of all of Hollywood and the Hills just adds on to the fabulousness of it.

Working hard.

Now that I’ve finished obsessing about my day so far, and how much I love The London Hotel (even more so now that my wine just came), I guess I’ll go back to the initial reason why I came up here…back to the books!
