Travel safety is one of the top concerns people ask me about. So I’m happy to report about a new travel safety app that will ease all your minds! And your parents’ too!
Recently I tested out the membership-based travel safety app called CloseCircle, and I have to say, I give it a top rating! While I’m usually skeptical about the functionality and accuracy of travel apps, this one so far has very much impressed me! I even immediately showed it to everyone on my current Tribe Group Trip!
CloseCircle is basically like your own personal virtual bodyguard, and covers every aspect of safety you can possibly imagine. From tracking your destination and an SOS button, to real-time safety alerts and country information, this travel safety app is all you need to feel at ease when you’re abroad!
Below I’ll go over CloseCircle’s features, but feel free to also sign up for their free alerts if you want to test them out first!
This feature can be left on or turned on and off as you feel you need it. For example, if I wanted to maybe walk around the busy, intertwining markets in Marrakech but didn’t feel comfortable going alone, I’d turn on my tracking so that someone knows where I am 24/7.
Your location is tracked by experienced security professionals, and it can be seen or shared with any friends or family members that you share an account with. That being said, aside from your personal safety, it’s also great for making your parents feel at ease about you traveling abroad!
You can also use the Check In feature to make note of when you get somewhere safely, and you can send it to friends and family as well.
One of the most important features I think CloseCircle has is the in-app SOS Panic Button. By pushing it, you’ll get immediate assistance no matter where you are.
CloseCircle also gives you a designated emergency contact, and they have 15 years’ experience in global security.
Every safety-related news update and alert for the country you’re in will be sent to you via the Alerts tab on the app. With this information, you can always know if you need to avoid certain areas or alter your travel plans.
Additionally, you’ll be provided with up to date advice on how to avoid any potentially threatening situations!
Once you sign up for CloseCircle, you’ll also get weekly travel safety alerts for the entire World sent to your email. As I mentioned before, you can sign up for these alerts for free to test out this feature before purchasing your annual plan!
Everything you could possibly need to know about the country you’re traveling to is located right inside the CloseCircle travel safety app! From travel risk advice to local emergency numbers, it’s a great checklist to go through whenever you travel!
Under the Travel Advice Summary you’ll find: Risk Rating Breakdown, Country Overview, Security Overview, Environmental Overview, Medical Overview, Infrastructural Overview, and Political Overview.
There’s also a great Fact Box that can tell you the Population, Currency, Government Type, Languages, Timezone, Religions, Traffic Direction, Plug Types, Ethnicities, Drinking Water Safety, Calling Code, and any Significant Dates!
Under the Travel Risk Advice category, you’ll find advice on: Required Vaccinations and Key Health Risks, Pre-departure, On Arrival, In Transit, At Your Hotel, and In the Streets!
Another feature that I was really impressed to see that CloseCircle has is free emergency evacuation. That means if you’re in a situation that has put you in real physical danger, they’ll evacuate you at no extra cost, and with no claim forms to complete.
So if you want to travel smart, safe, and confidently, definitely get your CloseCircle travel safety app before your next adventure abroad!
