This 4 Minute Video Will Teach You GoPro Selfie Skills

Learn how I take the majority of my photos with this quick 4 minute video I made teaching you how to easily gain GoPro selfie skills!

All of my photos that look like this are taken by holding a selfie stick with GoPro behind me, and previewing/taking the pic with my phone in front of me!

All you need to do is connect any GoPro to the built in wifi on your phone, get comfortable adjusting the selfie stick behind you, and practice seeing yourself in the frame on your phone. You can also get an attachable tripod foot for farther away photos or so you don’t look like you’re holding a selfie stick!

Recommended gear is at the end! If you enjoyed my video/post and want to keep seeing more every week, please show me some love by sharing this post!

  • Great tutorial..... I still have to get a gopro.. I rely a lot on my samsung phone.. for video still.. old habits I guess

    • Phones can be great for footage too! I use my iPhone X a lot. But a Go Pro definitely has a lot of advantages. Keep me posted if you do end up getting a Go Pro!

  • Great stuff. Photos incredible and blog in general. My site is pretty bad because I like to enjoy the moment and carrying a camera around all the time is a pain, or always having to blog.

    • It's definitely not for everyone! I love having my camera, taking pics, and writing (I was originally a freelance writer!) so I don't mind. Maybe you'd prefer video?

  • Tipulator is only availible on Apple, what are good apps availible for Android so that I know how much to tip people in Thailand and other countries and to know how to pay in Thailand and other countries. Please and thanks. I bless you!.

  • 8I have something to ask you about a Thailand post of you, the Tipulator app is only availible on Apple, what are good apps availible for android so that I know how much to tip people in Thailand, and to know how to pay in Thailand and other countries. Please and thank you!. I bless you!.

  • I just found your blog, great job and thanks for the great video above. We are travellers too and about to shift from the road to the sea, we are buying a catamaran and already planning a circumnavigation! We are definitely getting a hero 7 after seeing your video.

I'm just wondering what you think of the new Osmo pocket, we just got one recently and have fallen in love with it. I know it's not an action cam like the GroPro's, but it has it's best uses too. Have you used it at all? We have been using it for our vlogs in Malta and are loving the results.

Anyhow, thanks so much for the great tips and we will be following you from now on.

      • Hello Alyssa, I'm posting these comments about Thailand here because it is not possible to post ib the Thailand post. Is Bangkok cheap to stay there in a hotel, ans for buying stuff there and is possible swimming in the beaches there?. And are the websites for hotels and airports to travel to Thailand that Nina Raguse recommends cheap for people who plan to travel to Thailand from Argentina?. Please answer me, Please and thanks.
