Voluntarily Childfree and Traveling: Why You Don’t Need a Reason

Why no, I do not want a child traveling with me at the moment. I like my peace.

Other people’s reproduction choices has been a hot topic for many people lately, so I’m going to keep posting about being voluntarily childfree and traveling to make sure everyone knows that you don’t have to give anyone a reason or explanation..

We’re living in a weird world where some people think it’s Ok to give unsolicited opinions or questions about when or if you’re having a baby, and I’m here to tell those people to kindly STFU.

This post is for the women who get asked about when they’re having kids, and especially for the ones who ask others! Please share this post to help spread the awareness!

First of All, Being Voluntarily Childfree and Traveling is a LUXURY

Don’t ever for a second doubt your choice to be voluntarily childfree and traveling! This is a luxury that a lot of people our age don’t have! Hence also why so many people get upset when we say that we’re opting to travel childfree longer rather than having kids sooner.

Despite what anyone may say about “You can still travel with a kid!” The bottom line is that it simply isn’t the same. Traveling childfree is a luxury. You only have to worry about yourself. Own it and enjoy it while it lasts!

It’s No One’s Damn Business

The only person who should be concerned with your uterus is YOU. If some people want to grow a human then shove it out of their vagina and take care of it for the rest of their lives, good for them! But that has NOTHING to do with you doing it as well!

I mean seriously, would it make these people feel better about the world if every woman had a child by the age of 30? Newsflash, not everyone wants that!

Some People Won’t Understand Anyway

Even if you try to explain to a reproduction-opinioned-person why you are still childfree, they likely won’t even understand. If you say you want to keep traveling a lot, they’ll just say, “You can travel with kids!” ….even though it’s COMPLETELY different when you travel with kids.

If you say you’re not ready yet, they’ll say, “Well the clock is ticking! Better do it soon before it’s too late!” As if your body is some reproductive time bomb.

Then my favorite, if you say you don’t want kids at all, they’ll likely be so confused and horrified that they’ll either just go away or blast you.

There Are More Women Like You Than You Think

Thanks to the power of social media, we’re seeing more and more women band together to make topics like this viral. Never before have we seen more women embracing being proudly and voluntarily childfree, and it is absolutely incredible!

From women with infertility issues or inability to find a great partner (which is increasingly harder these days), to women who simply do not desire to have kids (even women in relationships!), being proudly childfree is becoming more and more main stream, and we are all for it.

It’s Your Body and Your Life, Be Voluntarily Childfree and Traveling if YOU Want to be!

We are living in a time where other people think they have the right to say what other people should do with their bodies and lives. This is completely false. No one has that right. Not your family, not your friends, not unsolicited strangers on the inter-webs. No one. Except you. Never forget that!

Please don’t forget! I work extremely hard to produce these free travel guides and posts! If it helped you, or you enjoyed it, PLEASE give it a share on social media, and follow me to keep up with more posts! You’re two minutes of effort truly helps keep my business running! Thank ya!
