Not So Lucky in Ireland

I won’t go into full details since they’re pretty terrible, but let’s just say I had really bad luck in Dublin, Ireland… As in, I ended up breaking up with someone and fleeing the country a few days early. But before that, when I was still trying to make the best of it, I went off on my own, which was terrifying at the time, but now that I’ve resurfaced photos, I’m glad I did.

Ironically, all of the photos look as dreary and miserable as I had been from the sleepless nights and fighting, but they’re still pretty neat. I spent a lot of time riding around on the City Sightseeing Tour buses (definitely go on one) by myself even though it was raining and freezing outside. I walked laps up and down Temple Bar, taking pictures of other people who seemed to be having fun, and also ones who seemed equally as glum as me.

So although I had no such luck in Dublin with my love life, I’m lucky to at least have some of these photos from Ireland!

A bridge going over to Temple Bar and a homeless woman
Crossing the bridge from the residential area to Temple Bar
Over the bridge, a fast car and a guy feeling not so hot in a doorway
Rainy streets
Getting caught taking photos by myself…
A lively Irish Pub
A sign that mocked me
Probably should have drank a lot more Jameson!
The Guinness Factory we passed on the bus tour
A castle near the Guinness factory
Finally seeing some blue skies and greenery in the outskirts of Dublin
Ironically, I would soon find out that the first day of sunshine was my last day in Dublin!

  • Been there - not in Dublin but in London. You persevered and I ended up having an incredible journey through Europe. Wouldn't wish heartbreak on anyone, especially far from home and friends.

    • Wow sounds like you're adventure was incredible (minus the heartbreak part), at least we had travel on our side :)
