Wondering what to wear in Muslim countries? It’s true, you definitely need to dress modestly and cover up as much as you can. But you do not neat to wear a hijab (head covering), unless that’s your religion!
The tricky thing about figuring out what to wear in Muslim countries, is that they’re usually also VERY hot. Normally when we are in hot weather, we wear less clothes, but that’s not generally acceptable in Muslim countries due to cultural and religious reasons.
It’s easy to dress appropriately in order to respect the locals, and to not get stared at! Here’s a couple photos of what I wore in Muslim countries, and a few Amazon products that are similar!

What to Wear in Muslim Countries (What I wore)
Here’s what I wore in Egypt Solo
I went to Egypt solo, so I made sure to cover up as much as possible. This was also before my dress-wearing days, so most of the time I just wore jeans, a sleeved-top, and a scarf!
But then when I started getting more comfortable in my desired fashion, and also when I started traveling in groups, I changed it up a bit. You can see in the photos below the different outfits myself and my groups wear!
A note about SWIMSUITS in Muslim countries — Always ask if there is a dresscode for women’s swimsuits. In touristy towns and at hotels, bikinis are usually fine, but in strict Muslim countries they are banned or there are specific beaches for them!
Here’s what I wore in Morocco
My first time in Morocco was solo, and I quickly learned to dress modestly! Then I hosted one of my Group Trips there and was so impressed that everyone took my advice!
Here’s What I Wore in India
India is one of the most essential places to dress appropriately, otherwise you WILL get stared at. You also may get inappropriately touched if you dress provocatively because the older generation of men there are still way behind on times.

Items that are purchased from my shop greatly help support my business! They take a little longer to ship, but they’re about the same price as Amazon, and I get to keep 60% of revenue versus Amazons mere 3%! You photoshopping isn’t fooling anyone. The one in front of the Taj Mahal made us laugh
Ooohhhh you’re going to hate to know that I’ve been to the Taj Mahal about 6 times now and heading back in a few months! Hehe!
