My Missing Malaysia Airlines Flight 370 Theory: Diego Garcia

Alyssa Ramos

Search

I have always thought the “Missing Malaysia Airlines Flight 370” actually landed on Diego Garcia; the infamous U.S. navy and military base in the middle of the ocean. Here’s why.

My Malaysia Airlines flight a few weeks after MH370 went “missing” — it was mostly empty because people were afraid to fly it\

Just two weeks before my first ever solo trip, the missing Malaysia Airlines flight happened. One week before my trip, a second Malaysia Airlines flight got shot down by Russian military in Ukraine. This was not only unfathomable, shocking, and terrifying in general, but especially so because at the time I was broke AF and wasn’t about to give up that non-refundable flight.

I remember my mom awkwardly saying to me on the phone, “Well, it can’t happen a third time, right?” As my brain is thinking “bad things happen in threes”.

Long story short, I ended up doing what I considered “extensive research” on anything I could find about the two incidents back then. None of it made sense. It still doesn’t. Even with this new Missing MH370 Netflix documentary (which by the way I watched while in Kuala Lumpur recently, just before flying out on Malaysia Airlines on the same route as the one that “went missing”), still nothing makes sense.

Which actually makes perfect sense to me, as with all things that happen mysteriously in this world with no explanation, is that it usually has something to do with governments. And particularly, the U.S. government.

That being said, I have been extremely hesitant to write or post anything about my theories (which BTW is seriously JUST a theory), thinking the gov is going to make me disappear as well. But after Netflix basically said everything I say anyway, I am finally not as worried about it. However if I do disappear…you know why.

Let’s Start with the Solid Facts About Missing MH370:

There are none. So let’s move forward.

WHY Are There No Solid Facts About Missing Malaysia Airlines Flight 360?

Now this is a damn question. Because I am pretty sure we have extremely advanced satellite, radar, and tracking technology, that can do anything from find and assasinate military leaders with drones, to spot garbage islands in the ocean. If governments wanted or needed to find something. They would.

In fact, please name one instance in which the U.S. government said they were going to find something (likely that was a threat to the U.S.) and didn’t. They always do. Yet they can’t find a massive plane? I don’t think so.

This brings me to my next points:

Point 1: The U.S. Military was in the exact area of the South China Sea when MH370 went “missing”.

As I’ve just explained, literally nothing can get past the U.S. military. So please, try to tell me that with all of their fancy satellites, tracking equipment, weapons of mass destruction, and highly trained humans, that no one noticed a plane making a ninety degree turn and then going off all the radar charts.

That’s actually laughable. Really? Come on guys.

Point 2: Planes Don’t Just Disappear from Radar

I’ve been on hundreds of flights. I have met dozens of flight attendants, pilots, radar control techs, etc. I do not believe for one second that there was a two minute gap in air control workers where the plan just so happened to go off radar.

Because let’s not forget my first point; the U.S. military was in the area anyway. So any flying aircraft WOULD HAVE BEEN ON ALL OF THEIR RADARS.

Point 3: Smartphones Still Have Service When There’s No Service

A little fun fact in case you didn’t know; even if your phone is on airplane mode (or I believe even turned off), it is still accessible. Likely by the U.S. gov.

This would mean that someone (or a lot of people) would have had access to all the passengers locations unless someone went and physically destroyed all of their phones.

Moving right along.

What I Think “Happened” to “Missing” Malaysia Airlines Flight 370

A lot of people won’t like my theory, but I refuse to just let this off as a fucking Boeing 777 that went “missing”. That’s complete bullshit.

From the moment it happened, to the bone-chilling feeling of sitting on the airlines right after it happened, to almost ten years later and having traveled to remote islands, learning history of the U.S. gov, and also talking to veterans, I have formed what could be wrong, but also like… something to think about.

Let’s Start with WHERE I Think MH370 Went

IF, and that’s a big IF… MH370 actually did make a sharp left turn towards the Indian Ocean, then my theory is that it was heading for Diego Garcia. The U.S. navy/military base on a beautiful atoll in the Maldives.

Why do I know about Diego Garcia? Great question. As a traveler who doesn’t like the typical touristy spots, I have a tendency to zoom in on the map and search for places I’ve never heard of. This was obviously what I did when I heard allegations that the “missing plane” went west.

Diego Garcia was mentioned very briefly in the Netflix documentary, but literally for three seconds. I found that strange.

Anyway, at the time of this happening, I was living in L.A. and wouldn’t stop talking about my theories of Diego Garcia. I must have talked about it a lot because I ended up meeting THREE former U.S. Navy people who actually were not surprised at all (or thinking I’m crazy) about my theory.

Go ahead and use Google Earth to look up Diego Garcia, and it’s proximity to Malaysia. In fact, check out this article from VeteranLife.com, which states that Diego Garcia is a top secret, active, U.S. military naval base, that is “used for long-range bomber operations, Special Forces staging, and the replenishment of both nuclear-powered submarines, and naval surface forces.”

They’ve also got a nice runway that would be perfect for landing a plane, and then hiding it on a top secret island.

UPDATE: Upon reading further, I have just learned that my theory is actually credible!

UPDATE: This Theory Has Been Deemed Credible!

I’ve always thought the plane went to Diego Garcia, and according to this website, my theory was actually deemed credible (not mine personally, but in general).

This is because it was discovered that Diego Garcia’s landing strip was programmed into the MH370 pilot’s home flight simulator — something that was not mentioned on the documentary!

However according to that website, some claims are that:

  • The plan was shot down by the U.S. in Diego Garcia due to hackers taking control of the Boeing 777 (I am assuming this means they thought they were going to be attacked?)
  • The U.S. shot it down and tried to cover it up for another reason, and that military intelligence would have still picked it up even if it shut off communication.

That’s all the website said for their theories, but to me, if the U.S. shot it down for reasons that were legitimate; like someone hacked a plane to attack Diego Garcia so they had to shoot it down, I don’t think they would cover that up, because that would make them the heroes, and we all know how much the US loves to make them look like the hero.

WHY I Think the U.S. Would Want to Make a Plane Go Missing

Just in case anyone hasn’t noticed, whenever there’s an election, an economy problem, or the brink of war…something catastrophic happens in the world and distracts us all from even noticing.

I certainly was distracted. Weren’t you? Maybe the U.S. was low key trying to attack Vietnam or Russia. Maybe it had to do with elections. Maybe they just wanted to create fear to scare people from leaving the country and thus spending more there , while relying heavily on the U.S. gov for their safety. Anyway.

Now we can move on to my theories of what the U.S. would do with said-missing-plane:

In my honest OPINION, I think the U.S. was trying to distract citizens from things that were happening above.

Then in my other honest OPINION, I think Russia thought that the U.S. was going to use a damn passenger plane to fill with explosives and nonchalantly, unexpectedly bomb them.

OH! This brings me to the second part of my theory;

WHY DID RUSSIA SHOOT DOWN A SECOND MALAYSIA AIRLINES BOEING777?

First — In case you hadn’t heard about the second Malaysia Airlines incident, let’s go over that first.

Just under two weeks after MH370 went “missing”, Russian troops shot down another Malaysia Airlines flight with the same model plane.

That is NOT an accident. Like come onnnnnn again! Put two and two together with the two countries that are constantly on the brink of war!

So after this incident, my theory changed. And in summary it is:

The U.S. Gov was trying to distract both the Russian government, and all civilians of the World with the whole missing plane stunt, but I still do not know why, however my top theory is the fear-mongering marketing executive for the CIA is either really smart or a psychopath.

They are responsible for the plane, and I believe the radar was “shut off” or just allegedly not seen by them, and that the plane was landed in Diego Garcia. I think that the Malaysian government had to have been paid a substantial amount of money for being the scapegoat as well, and that there was purposely no U.S. citizens onboard, otherwise people would have been causing a bigger deal, and the airline would be out of business.

I’m actually not even confident that the people on the plane were real, however I am also pretty confident that if they were, the U.S. gov would have no problem killing them. Afterall, after now traveling to all these island countries like Palau, Jeju Island, and Papua New Guinea; I am learning SO MUCH about the secret operations of U.S. military in places most people have no clue exist. Easier to hide your dirty (bloody) work that way, right?

So I’m truly hoping the passengers weren’t real, and the families are actors, but that’s me being empathetic. And I guess also pathetic because I know war spares no lives.

Anyway, this still doesn’t answer the question of WHY the U.S. would want that plane.

Let’s first think about what the Russian military thought they wanted with that plane.

Ask yourself (or literally anyone), why would Russia (U.S. main “enemy”) shoot down the same plane model from the same airline that just went missing? Seems pretty obvious to me.

What connected the theoretical dots of my theory, is that Russia’s government, who is also the top advanced in the world, also would have seen where that first plane was heading. So let’s say they see the plane heading towards, or dare I say, LAND in Diego Garcia via satellite. Then they hear the news of an alleged “missing plane”. What do you think they’re thinking?

To me, they’re thinking; “The U.S. has a massive flying vehicle capable of mass destruction if loaded with explosives, and are going to catch us off guard by disguising a massive bomb as a passenger plane.”

Again. Why else would they shoot down the same plane.

Now Let’s Talk About The Second Malaysia Airlines Plane

I honestly wouldn’t have started thinking so much about the missing Malaysia Airlines plane if it weren’t for the second one going down. That made it extremely obvious it was a government issue.

So we already know my theory is that Russian military thought the missing plane was transformed into a secret massive bomb, so they shot it down before entering Russia.

Now let’s talk about what was inside of the second plane.

So they want everyone to believe that everything inside and outside of the second Malaysia Airlines flight was completely charred……

Charred bodies that are unidentifiable, YET fully intact passports. Like who thought of this? Did they honestly think there would be no smart civilians (or travel bloggers) that were going to be like, “But passports are made from paper, and paper also burns.”?

…….except PAPER PASSPORTS?! lmmaoooo

This is where I started getting more questionable about all of this, including my thoery.

Did the U.S. or someone else fill the plane with dead bodies and fake passports to make it seem like Russia shot down a civilian plane? Was something else going on at that time that would have made this the ideal military distraction?

The World will obviously never know. But in short, to recap my personal theory:

  • U.S.A. gov and military orchestrated the plan and made the plane “disappear from radar”
  • It was landed on a tiny island where passengers were either killed during the flight or didn’t exist and the family is actors (seems insincere but again just a theory)
  • Either they really did intend to make it into a bomb (unlikely), or were causing a massive distraction to both the world (frantically fearing flights) and Russia (wondering wtf they are planning on doing with that big ass plane).
  • The plan got leaked somehow, and U.S. aborted (funny to use that term now for the U.S. right?) but still sent the plane over with decoys so as not to raise more questions from passengers’ families, and Russia fell for it.
  • Russia would not have shot down the second plane if they didn’t think it was a threat.
  • There are no remnants of a crashed plane because it didn’t crash.
  • Satellites track and record everything. It would have been easy to rewind and see where the plane went.
  • U.S. Intelligence would 1000% see a plane that’s off regular radar.

Final question is…what was the U.S. actually trying to hide and/or do?

Drop your theories below!

  • I bought a new phone in China bc you get a decent tax refund, but soon after, it started talking to me in Chinese, and then people started calling it and sending text messages!

I honestly felt like I was in a movie, where you find a phone and then suddenly you’re forced to carry out some crazy mission or something!

Turns out, for some reason, the girl who sold me the phone put her own SIM card in it to activate it (no idea why), and it was all her friends calling her. 😂

Anyway, FYI you’re NOT supposed to open any tax refund products from their boxes before you leave the country! And you have to get the papers signed/approved BEFORE and after customs! Makes a few hundred dolla difference!

  • True story: I did not speak any Italian (besides ciao, grazie, and vino) and my husband didn’t speak any English when we first met!!

We used translation apps and some Spanish (he understands because Sardinian sounds similar) but when I first moved here, to a small traditional town where not many people speak English, it was very, very evident that I needed to learn Italian.

Knowing Spanish didn’t help me. The conjugations are completely different and so are most words (dislike when ppl assume I learned bc of that).

And full immersion didn’t force me to learn either, bc my ADHD would just tune out. Apps also easily bored me.

So I looked up online tutors and found Preply, which has thousands of real humans to teach you face to face online, and they can customize your lessons to your learning style and needs.

I’ve been doing Italian lessons twice a week for almost 3 years now, and the online tutors are the main reason why I can speak conversational Italian now!

My current tutor Lara is amazing, she does my Italian lessons also in English and Spanish so I don’t forget my native tongue! Also doubles as an unofficial therapist 😂😂

  • A pod of 15 Orcas surrounded our small boat in La Ventana, Mexico… my reaction was squealing like a child and I even cried a few tears (don’t tell anyone).

Then, after careful behavioral assessment by our marine biologist guide, we were given permission to swim with them for about 2 minutes!

I cried even more after that, it was one of the most magical moments of my life!

This was an ethical Sea Safari trip with an experienced, animals-first, women-run company. Orca tours do not exist since you cannot predict when they will show up.

There are also many rules and regulations to keep this safe and ethical, so please check out my other posts about it, and for info on how to book this trip, search “orcas” on my blog - mylifesamovie.com!

  • Everyone raves about the viral Storm Spa in Chongqing China being so cool but meanwhile I was on the verge of a panic attack in there feeling like I fell overboard during the Drake Passage 😳

I am still unsure why an extreme storm was chosen for a spa…but I can at least say the beginning where it’s sunny, and the end where there’s randomly northern lights, was nice!

The ROOMS of the hotel where this spa is at are incredible though! They’re the also-viral ones where there’s a huge clear pool in the rooms!

But fun fact.. it’s not a full sized hotel…they only own a few floors of a skyscraper, which is genius bc they can spend less on maxxing out the rooms and still get booked out!

Oh and the Storm Spa session (30 mins) is included with the room! And the sister hotel includes a photoshoot 🤩

Should I post room tours of them?

All of the information for these viral Chongqing hotels and also Chongqing cyberpunk city in general are on my blog, including the CORRECT links to each hotel (online it’s very confusing bc they all have the same name!)

  • Don’t go to Japan and ONLY visit Tokyo, Kyoto, and Osaka, when there are beautiful hidden gems like Fukushima, just an hour train ride away!

I’ve been to Japan six times now, and have visited six prefectures as well, and I can honestly say that Fukushima was so impressive, that we extended our stay!

I know some people hear “Fukushima” and associate it with the tragedy that happened there in the past, but that was 15 years ago, and today Fukushima is not only safe, but thriving with nature, culture, and traditional, unique experiences!

Some of my favorite things to do there were:

- Take a Samurai class (GREAT for stress relief)
- Stay at a Ryokan and go to the many onsens
- Make your own sushi and eat a lot of it!
- Visit the Fukushima Museum of Art to see famous pieces and traditional ones
- Stroll around Ouchi Juku old town and eat the soba noodles with a giant green onion
- Go for a hike in the mountain National Parks or boat ride on the lakes

This is also where we did that fun little self-made “free foot spa crawl”, and I’d honestly go back just to do that and stay in that area again! (Actually we might, anyone want to join?)

All of the information to plan your trip to Fukushima is on my blog, and also more BTS videos are on the highlight on my profile!

Which of these sounds most magical to you?

  • Only 0.01% of humans have passed 80 degrees North latitude and guess who’s one of them? THIS GIRL! (And 26 of my Travel Tribe friends) 💪🏽

Sailing through the Arctic Pack Ice is a huge achievement because that means you’re close to the North Pole (90 degrees North), which you can only reach via the Pack Ice (so if it’s melted…you can’t reach it)

In the past this area was only traveled by famous explorers, meanwhalers/trappers/hunters, researchers, photographers, and wealthy adventurers, and also mostly men (shocker, I know).

Then there’s us, reaching 81 degrees North, mostly because we want to see Polar Bears and other wildlife, and tick the Arctic Circle off of our bucketlist!

I’m pretty proud to be an unconventional female adventurer, and to be able to “influence” others to do the same!

I may not look the stereotypical part of an explorer; but let me tell you how much warmer that girl in the hot pink swimsuit was in the jacuzzi looking for polar bears than everyone else was!! (Well, at least having extra amounts of fun 😂)

I’m so grateful to have been to Svalbard twice now, it’s truly a peculiar and interesting place!

  • Happy World Ocean Day! Here’s some ocean insights from someone who has swam in all 5 oceans (can anyone name them?), has crossed the Drake Passage 8 times and recently voyaged through Arctic pack ice, who has scuba dove in over 30 countries, learned to free dive only because they’re trying to keep up with animals, and has developed a severe obsession with swimming with marine apex predators, and all the creatures!

First and foremost — the Ocean is more powerful than humans are. Don’t mess with it or it will mess with you.

One of the many things I learned during the lectures in Antarctica is that krill (tiny little animals that 🐋’s eat) is in danger of being over-fished, so avoid products that use it.

Try to only eat locally caught fish, avoid big companies that use ghost nets — the number one killer of marine animals aside from actual hunting, and yes, people still do that too in places like Japan, Iceland, Faroe Islands, and USA.

Speaking of the U.S… the place I’m from, FLORIDA, is one of the top killers of my beloved SHARKS, and right now the gov is trying to stop Shark tourism there, such as diving with sharks (my favorite hobby), something that really does protect these extremely necessary animals as opposed to all the people there that kill them for business or for FUN 😡

Some will say that this and other swimming with marine animal excursions are “unethical” but guess what happens if there’s no tourism demand? They kill them to sell. I’ve seen it over the years and I’m highly experienced with ethical and non-ethical tourism!

So for this World Ocean Day, I am asking you to please share this post, and sign the petition on my Stories against the stopping of shark diving in Florida!

And if you sign it and want to come with me next time I visit for the holidays, I’ll give you first dibs and a discount and also a glass of my vino!!!

Thank you for reading this if you got this far! I know I write too much!

Definitely a major highlight of this #fukushima trip was the Samurai class and the onsen town, I’d go back there for both! All of I was very stress relieving!

Anyone missing the one photo post days? Or wishing they could take a Samurai class right now? 😬

I hate that IG has changed so much that each of these photos can’t have their own individual post. Or should they? I think they should, but IG literally says to do Carousels and Reels…then I end up not posting so many unique moments, that I once used to post individually almost every day!

I miss those days and I’m so grateful I started all of this when a single photo post was all you did…a thousand words in one photo.

How do I even explain what each of these photos held? I can write it on my blog but 🤖 will just summarize me in the search results. I can spend hours making a reel, only for the system to analyze it’s not interesting enough ugh because not enough people watched past 6 seconds (yes that is the current algorithm)

So I guess I’ll just keep my memories in my mind and share the tips and pretty photos!

Don’t go to Japan and ONLY visit Tokyo, Kyoto, and Osaka, when there are beautiful hidden gems like Fukushima, just an hour train ride away! Some of my favorite things to do there were: - Take a Samurai class (GREAT for stress relief) - Stay at a Ryokan and go to the many onsens - Make your own sushi and eat a lot of it! - Visit the Fukushima Museum of Art to see famous pieces and traditional ones - Stroll around Ouchi Juku old town and eat the soba noodles with a giant green onion - Go for a hike in the mountain National Parks or boat ride on the lakes This is also where we did that fun little self-made “free foot spa crawl”, and I’d honestly go back just to do that and stay in that area again! (Actually we might, anyone want to join?) All of the information to plan your trip to Fukushima is on my blog, and also more BTS videos are on the highlight on my profile! Which of these sounds most magical to you? #Fukushima #FukushimaTravel #JapanTravelTips #japan #solotravel

Only 0.01% of humans have passed 80 degrees North latitude and guess who’s one of them? THIS GIRL! (And 26 of my Travel Tribe friends) 💪🏽 Sailing through the Arctic Pack Ice is a huge achievement because that means you’re close to the North Pole (90 degrees North), which you can only reach via the Pack Ice (so if it’s melted…you can’t reach it) In the past this area was only traveled by famous explorers, meanwhalers/trappers/hunters, researchers, photographers, and wealthy adventurers, and also mostly men (shocker, I know). (Well, at least having extra amounts of fun 😂) I’m so grateful to have been to Svalbard twice now, it’s truly a peculiar and interesting place! If it’s on your to-go list, drop me a comment and I’ll send you the info for this trip plus five-hundo-off 😁 Drone footy by the Polar Latitudes Photographers who have a permit to fly there (guests cannot): @vegarabelsnes @stevenrosephotography #svalbard #packice #thearctic #arcticexpedition #womenwhoexplore

Happy World Ocean Day! Speaking of the U.S… the place I’m from, FLORIDA, is one of the top killers of my beloved SHARKS, and right now the gov is trying to stop Shark tourism there, such as diving with sharks (my favorite hobby), something that really does protect these extremely necessary animals as opposed to all the people there that kill them for business or for FUN 😡 Some will say that this and other swimming with marine animal excursions are “unethical” but guess what happens if there’s no tourism demand? They kill them to sell. I’ve seen it over the years and I’m highly experienced with ethical and non-ethical tourism! So for this World Ocean Day, I am asking you to please share this post, and sign the petition on my Stories against the stopping of shark diving in Florida! And if you sign it and want to come with me next time I visit for the holidays, I’ll give you first dibs and a discount and also a glass of my vino!!! Thank you for reading this if you got this far! I know I write too much! 🐳🐋🦭🐟🐠🦈🦈🦈🦈
