Have you ever traveled to certain countries that you just couldn’t help but notice how attractive the people were? Or do you have an attraction for certain features that are relative to certain countries? I mean, you have to notice that some countries are pretty much stereotyped for having hot people, right? Otherwise people wouldn’t have a “thing” for certain “types”.

I’ve personally been to 31 countries, but my taste in attractiveness is about as unpredictable as the weather in Florida, so I went ahead and asked some other well traveled people their opinions as well. If you really think about it, there is the attractiveness of features, personality, and overall looks, but then there’s also the attractiveness of culture, which adds an entirely new perspective to the laws of attraction.

So without further ado, I bring to you, the top five attractive countries in the world! (Not ranked in any particular order!)

1. CUBA

I’m not just giving Cuba the number one spot out of all of the most attractive countries because I’m Cuban myself, but I seriously could not help but notice that every guy I saw there was pretty much straight out of a Telanovela! They were a bit thinner…and shorter…but I swear, those scruffy chiseled jaws and smoldering eyes were literally EVERYWHERE! Plus the hottness of Havana easily adds on to the overall appeal of Cuba.

I was a little confused about where all of the pretty women were hiding though. I really thought I was going to see some Tropicana-esque models in Cuba, or at least some women as stunning as my ancestors (*wink face*), but I didn’t see very many, and I’m not the only one who will say that! In fact, when I was in Cuba writing the editorial for Geo Chic Magazine, we had to extend the photo shoot casting days because the photographer and editor-in-chief couldn’t find models they liked!

2. ITALY

Gloria from TheBlogAbroad.com gives the next country with the most attractive people, and I couldn’t agree more, it’s Italy!

“When it comes to traveling, there’s no doubt that it’s hard not to notice the uniquely beautiful features of the people in the region you’re in. Whether it’s the tall-natured men of Holland or the stoic nature of Germans, there’s something that gets you hot and bothered about just being in their mere presence.

I have to say while I could easily nominate half the world for this category, I must give the hottest men award to my boys over in Italy.

Their perfectly tanned skin, mesmerizing brown eyes, full mane of hair, and delicate, yet dominating tone and Italian accent make them God’s greatest gift to the world and the reason why I need to make a trip back over sooner than later.

I’m not sure how, but an Italian man went from helping my directionally-challenged self find the metro for a futbol game to inviting himself to the game with me, treating me to dinner, and giving me a tour and again treating me to brunch the following afternoon.

Excuse me, sir… but did we get married at some point? Why are you laying down your life for me? Exaggeration. But still, Italians are the epitome of boyfriend goals. God bless ’em.”

3. USA

Nina is a good friend of mine who I actually met on a Eurotrip in 2008, who ended up becoming a travel blogger too (WhereintheWorldisNina.com) and is currently living in Thailand. Here’s what she had to say about her country of choice for most attractive men:

“Only one country, Alyssa?! Psh, yeah right. A country with the hottest people, and of course, for me, MEN, can not be limited to one. I think foreign in sexy. Period. But ironically enough, I’d have to pick the USA (despite the fact I’m from there). Why? Here’s where I undo the irony, it’s because we’re so diverse. Who the F is American anyway? Pretty much nobody anymore. So many people in the USA are a damn sexy mutt.

I’m a mix of Israeli, Bulgarian, and Italian myself, not to say that I’m super sexy, but I know I don’t necessarily look the like average Jane, which is what I find attractive in a man – a mixed look. The USA has a lot of sexy men, buuuttt… I’d have to add the majority of Latin American countries to my list too.

Not only because I have a thing for men speaking Spanish (*melt*) but because they are damn hot. Hello, where are you looking? Is there even an argument with their perfectly tanned skin and luscious dark hair?

Uh, no. Oh, and I think many European countries would be on my smokin’ hot list too, like France, but it’s because they get like 100 points for having the sexiest language and accent in the galaxy.

OK, sorry, Alyssa. I don’t listen to directions very well! I just named three continents. I got problems. I love men. Yum!”

4. GERMANY

I must admit. I was not expecting the most attractive guys in Europe to be in Germany, but to this day I will definitely vouch for them after seeing them dance on the bar at Salsalito’s in Munich. Yes. You heard me correctly. There were sexy men dancing on a bar at a tequila bar in Germany. OH, and did I mention they were shirtless and all sporting a tanned and toned six pack?

But that wasn’t the only place attractive Germans were spotted. The famous Haufbrauhaus in Munich had several tables of attractive men drinking their pints of beers, and even a few futbol teams which were of course, all cute as well.

5. SPAIN

I mean, duh. What isn’t attractive about Spain? If you don’t picture a sexy matador or that little emoji chick in the red dress when you think of Spain…there might be something wrong with you. Just kidding. You’re probably thinking about the amazing atmosphere, food, or culture instead. Everything about Spain is sexy, which is why it automatically gets a spot on the list of most attractive countries!
